Money is not at the heart of what we do at Temple Israel . The heart of what we do is Torah, Avodah, and G’milut Hasadim—Torah, worship, and deeds of lovingkindness. But money is required for us to do what we do.
We have created a variety of membership financial commitments that reflect our diversity. Some of our members contribute $10,000 (or more) each year, and we are grateful for their generosity. But you need not be wealthy to join—no one is turned away because of an inability to pay.
Standard membership commitments
Our standard household membership commitment is $2,195. Our standard individual membership is $1,495.
New in the Neighborhood
Have you recently moved into Temple Israel ’s neighborhood? If so, you qualify for complimentary membership for your first year. (Life cycle events are not included in this complimentary membership.)
Young adult membership
The membership commitment for young adults is $360 for a household, and $250 for an individual.
Under age 25
Membership is complimentary. (Life cycle events are not included in this complimentary membership.)
Leadership circles
Temple Israel is blessed to have a group of people who contribute more than the standard membership: the Bridge ($10,000 +), the President’s Circle ($5,000 +), the Mitzvah Circle ($3,600+), and the Grand Council ($3,000). Those members in our Leadership Circles receive public recognition for their generosity, and a gift of appreciation. If you are able to contribute at these levels, we hope that you will find it in your heart to do so.
