An Evening of Love Songs and an Afternoon of Meditation with Cantor Robert Micha'el Esformes
Cantor Micha'el Esformes was ordained as Chazzan by the venerable Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. Micha'el travels widely, offering programs in Jewish music and, performing in concert, facilitating worship services and retreat experiences, serving as spiritual director, and engaging in ecumenical conversation. He has decades of experience in the practice and teaching of meditation.

Melaveh Malkah – a Musical Farewell to Shabbat. After a havdalah ceremony of fire, spice, wine, chant, and sacred intention, a program of Ladino love songs, supple psalms, liturgical prayers, and meditative musical musings to engage the spirit and open the heart. All are welcome.
This is a pass-the-hat event to cover our guest’s expenses.

An Introduction to Jewish Meditation: Theory and Practice.
Our afternoon together will include a general overview of various types of meditation (to help sort out techniques and traditions), engaged practice time, individual sharing, a question and answer period and whatever else might make its spontaneous appearance. All are welcome. $25 suggested donation.
