Introduction to Hebrew Language -Hybrid (ZOOM and Library Lounge) * Every Tuesday from 12:00pm-1:00pm (BYOL)
Stimulate Your Brain while learning (very) beginner Hebrew with Cantor Nelson! Have you always wanted to be able to read Hebrew but just never got around to it? Have you sat in synagogue trying to keep up with the English transliteration and praying that the Rabbi will announce the page because you are lost? And, have you been at B’nei Mitzvah services wishing that you had learned Hebrew when you were young? No previous Hebrew knowledge is necessary. Jewish Holiday Boot-Camps-Join Rabbi Morrison for an intensive look at our upcoming holidays, commemorations, and celebrations. These concentrated sessions will explore the liturgy, customs, foods, and melodies reserved for these elevated days. No prior knowledge is needed. Dates specified and classes will run from 8:00 pm-9:00 pm (via ZOOM only)

Traditionally, Jews are commanded to give thanks 100 times a day. But it’s not always easy to see seemingly “regular moments” as holy when our busy days and messy schedules are full of much ‘bigger’ things. Take a journey with Rabbi Morrison to seek out hidden moments of gratitude based on the teachings of traditional Jewish texts, the practice of using gratitude journals, and the guidance of A.J. For Those Seeking Conversion (separate registration form and fee)
A 16-week class for adults seeking to renew their childhood education and/or studying for conversion. Topics include Hebrew, holidays, rituals, prayer, philosophy, and theology. Taste the basics of Jewish life: spirituality, ethics, and community. This is a wonderful course for those new to the congregation, new to Jewish life, or interested in exploring the richness of our tradition. Classes start in January and August.
