Beth David and Temple Israel have a long history together as true Downtown/Central Miami Jewish community partners. For years, Beth David and Temple Israel have joined forces for S'lichot, Tisha B'Av, Cantors Concerts, and even a few Shabbat Pasiòn evenings. Our clergy have also worked closely together and helped each other with life cycle events and other pastoral care needs.

We are continuing this tradition and are thrilled to announce the coordination of the following programs:

Social Justice through Community Service

Social Justice is a pillar of the Jewish tradition. Temple Israel and Beth David have a long history of supporting the Chapman Partnership. Beginning in January, we will come together to help serve dinner at Chapman Partnership. This meal service is open to those ages 16 or older and occurs on the last Monday of each month. Youth Group

All Beth David Congregation Teens are invited to participate in Temple Israel's Youth Group program. The TIFTY program is the post-B'nei Mitzvah group that meets most Sundays from 11am-1pm in the youth lounge at Temple Israel. Early Childhood, Pre-School, and Day School

The Gordon School at Beth David offers Childcare, Pre-School, and Elementary Education for children ages 12 months to 5th grade. The Gordon School is dedicated to helping children reach their highest potential through its nurturing, child-centered environment and program of academic excellence.

Effective immediately, the Gordon School will offer Beth David member pricing for Temple Israel congregants. For more information, click here.

Religious School

Beginning next school year, 2023-2024, Temple Israel's Religious School will join Beth David on Beth David’s campus. Kindergarten through 5th grade will meet on Sunday mornings from 10am –11:30am. More information will be forthcoming as enrollment for next August opens in the Spring.

The Beth David Board of Directors and the Temple Israel Board of Trustees are excited about these shared opportunities and look forward to strengthening the connection between our 100+ year-old institutions in the City of Miami.
