How can you help our Temple Israel of Greater Miami community?

Our congregants are the foundation of Temple Israel, and participation is strongly encouraged. Therefore, we invite you to get involved. Whether you are new to Temple Israel or a veteran member of our congregation, we can use your skills, creativity, time, and energy. Attend a meeting, work behind the scenes to plan events, join a committee, become a board member, or help us with a project. Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to become fully engaged in the Temple Israel community.

Below is a brief description of each of TI’s committees along with the Committee Chairs’ contact information. Get involved! If you have any questions or want further information, please contact the assigned committee chair.

LIFELONG LEARNING COMMITTEE
Among the responsibilities of a Jewish House of Worship is Jewish education and learning. We believe that learning does not end with childhood but continues throughout one's life. At Temple Israel, we offer a robust program of education for both children and adults. Many of us come from different backgrounds and experiences, and offering a diversity of ideas make our programs of learning more relevant and inclusive in order to serve the needs of our congregation. Please join me- add your voice and participate in the work of the Lifelong Learning Committee.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE
Effectively communicating all that Temple Israel is and all that it offers can be a challenging mission as we reach out to our members, prospective members, and the community at large. The Marketing and Communications of our synagogue life require the expertise of those familiar with the tools of the trade -- advertising, public relations, branding, social media, journalism, and graphic design. Are any of these disciplines in your wheelhouse? If so, we welcome your input.

Right now, we only are in the need of individuals with experience related to property management and engineering. A subcommittee of the House Committee oversees our security and health protocols. If you are in the security or medical fields, please reach out. An additional subcommittee concerns itself with personnel.
