Isabel was hired in 2003, following the 31 year tenure of the previous office manager. Since then, she has made several invaluable lifetime friendships. “Cuban by birth and American by the grace of God,” she came to Miami via Operation Pedro Pan for unaccompanied Cuban children. After being reunited with her parents several months later, the family moved to Long Island, NY where she attended high school. Later she attended college in Washington, D.C. and moved to Miami, where she met her husband, Jose. The Montotos have three daughters and four grandchildren. Anyone stepping into Isabel’s office can see pictures of their grandchildren on her desktop, and she is always ready to proudly show more pictures of smiling grandchildren and her 101-year-old mother.
